Governance

Three groups are supporting the Administrative Excellence initiative to ensure that a broad range of stakeholders are engaged in the effort and that Huron Consulting Group is fully informed about UW-Madison’s organization and operations.

  • The Steering Committee is comprised of the Chancellor, the Provost and the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration and is responsible for overseeing the Administrative Excellence initiative and deciding how best to move forward on the consultants’ (Huron) recommendations.
  • The Advisory Committee is comprised of governance and key stakeholders including representatives from labor, external representatives and administrative staff. Central administrative directors serve as ex-officio members. The Advisory Committee is responsible for providing perspectives to inform the consultants’ analysis and for vetting and prioritizing the recommendations developed by Huron consultants.  The Advisory Committee will meet each month with the Huron consultants. The meeting agendas and notes will be posted on this web page.
  • Working Groups comprised of faculty, staff and other subject matter experts will play an instrumental role as stakeholders engaged to refine the data and collaboratively develop solution sets and action plans as a result of the opportunities prioritized by the Steering Committee.
