Four teams—Office Supplies, Scientific Supplies, MRO Supplies, and Computer Bundles—were asked to find ways to maximize institution-wide savings when making purchases without sacrificing service levels.
The recommendations of the four Strategic Purchasing teams were endorsed by the AE Advisory Committee and approved by the AE Steering Committee. The teams are now moving forward with their implementation of UW-Madison Preferred products selected to maximize institution-wide savings for the university without sacrificing quality or service.
Progress Update
This project has been transitioned to the business owner. A final report has being completed. Control plans, communication tools and other tactics are being put in place by Purchasing Services.
